DEPTH CONTROL SYSTEM
PITAGORA is a depth control system for exacavtors. The advantage of using a PITAGORA system together with a laser is that it is no more necessary to consider the position of the arms and above all it is possible to know the height of the digging while doing it. PITAGORA PLUS
... a genius working with the operator!

PITAGORA is a depth control system for exacavtors.

The purpose of the system is to show the operator the TARGET, i.e. the distance between between the blade of the bucket and the working surface here called DIGGING HEIGHT

The laser systems have been used for many years, but since they are strictly connected to the position of the stick, the operator is able to check his work only when it is finished and he is obliged to move the machine to take the height in different places.

The advantage of using a PITAGORA system together with a laser is that it is no more necessary to consider the position of the arms and above all it is possible to know the height of the digging while doing it.

PITAGORA does not exclude the laser but it integrates it and it makes the operations quicker. If a company has not got a laser, it is not a problem at all, it is simply necessary to use PITAGORA following the traditional way to take the heights.

The main feature of this sytem is that it is able to keep the height of digging both on a horizontal and a sloping surface. Thanks to the wide graphic display it is very easy and clear to follow the digging height.


PITAGORA system has a software that allows to memorize many different types of buckets; with a simple selection it is possible to choose one of them and work with its proper parameters previously set up.

Moreover PITAGORA system makes the operator work safely

In many situations such as sewerage, founadations, line of communication etc., PITAGORA control system increases the production giving the operator simple directions. If the work to carry out is a steep sloping such as the bank of a road, the operator can easily follow the digging progress on the display until the achievment of the target.


The control of the bucket position is very important for this system, and this is precisely calculated. This information is particularly useful when the operator is making a very deep digging or when the bucket is under the water. PITAGORA system also allows to work safely in those situations where the escavator arm must work within precise position, such as in case of high tension cables or inside a building. As previously said PITAGORA has been studied to work together with a laser, because it allows to memorize the datum heights given by the transmitter and to quicken the working set up. Obviously this is valid both for horizontal and sloping digging.
