The company extracts and produces potting soil (peat) for agriculture, particularly for mushroom cultivation. The peat is extracted in Salorno (BZ) and exported throughout Italy.
Since 2017, SPRING has been working alongside this company to monitor the extraction on their vehicles: long boom excavators, dump trucks, shovels and excavators at loading.
At the end of extraction, the peat bog is then returned for agricultural use; to reconstruct the last plant layer, the screens have been equipped with volumetric weighers to have the right size and control in the stempo the stock being produced.
SPRING's use of accurate volumetric weighers allows the exact load extracted to be known in real time via tablet on the machine or remotely in the office. In this way the opearator can know the hourly production and the presence of any faults.
