Load limiter for Scissor Lifts and Fruit Pickers

The philosophy behind this System is the same as for all SPRING systems, i.e. the possibility of satisfying all the various technical requirements using a modular System, without forgetting that the System must always guarantee fast installation and easy operation. S-Control S is produced in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 and EN ISO 13849-2 PL d.

The philosophy of the system

  • S-CONTROL is designed as a load limiter for scissor lifts and fruit carts
  • Control of the maximum load allowed on the platform with prealarm (acoustic and visual) and blocking of machine movements when the maximum permitted threshold is reached.
  • Management of machine movement when the maximum permissible operating slope is reached. This function applies to the X and Y axis.

S-CONTROL is one of the compact modules of the BRICK family; it is equipped with a 32-bit (CPU) micro controller technology for safety management on the platform. Its main objective is to block machine movements through the outputs.

S-CONTROL is equipped with a SICMA connector like the other modules in the BRICK family. This type is very common in the field of automotive applications, as it guarantees a mechanical seal against the ingress of liquids, as well as quick coupling. S-CONTROL is a very versatile system. Using the RS232 it is possible to use the SPRING parameterisation software on any PC and configure each parameter, make a system diagnostic and manage service values (e.g. the working hours after which maintenance must be scheduled). S-CONTROL is equipped with a “Black Box Logger”, a real black box where all events happening to the machine are stored, even without power supply, e.g. if out of safety conditions or all the various status information, date, time, sensor values.
