The “Watson B” control system software not only limits the moment but also manages the machines stabilization, the management of street security and the “black box” function.The Watson B system complies with UNI EN ISO 13849-1 UNI EN ISO 13849-2 PL c concerning crane trucks.

The system

The system monitors the operating pressure of the main cylinder (ARM1) and ARM2, the position of the chassis, the opening of the stabilisers and the feet on the ground. It controls a general valve known as the ‘damp valve’ to keep the machine safe. The system’s software integrates road safety management.
When the crane is overloaded, the only manoeuvre allowed is the retraction of the extensions.
During overloading, the RESET function is active; by pressing the button on the control unit, any manoeuvre can be carried out for 5 seconds, after which it is necessary to wait 30 seconds before being able to use this function again. The load capacity can be reduced depending on certain conditions:

  • Non-ground stabilisers
  • Stabilisers on the ground but not fully extended
  • By area ( depending on working conditions)
  • For category H2-B3 (bucket)
  • 100%: when lit at the same time as the 90% LED , the system is overloaded (rotation, retraction and RESET are the only permitted manoeuvres ). When the 90% LED is off , the system is in extra-overload mode ( retraction is the only manoeuvre allowed)
  • 90%: lights up when 90% of the overload pressure is reached.
  • ROT1: signals front/back sectors ( front=off; back=on)
  • ROT2: signals left/right sectors (left=off; right=on)
  • STB R OUT : switched on with right stabiliser fully extended
  • STB R DW: switched on with right-hand stabiliser on the ground
  • STB L OUT: switched on with left stabiliser fully extended
  • STB L DW: switched on with left stabiliser on the ground

As with the other products in the BRICK family, Watson-B was also equipped with the innovative new case.
Produced with a unique dedicated mould in a special shock-resistant technopolymer, the new case has increased the water resistance strength and durability, while at the same time reducing its weight .
In addition, the BRICK GATE is now available on the front side of the instrument, facilitating access.
The new model has complete attachment and connection compatibility with earlier models.
